08:06 AM ET 08.17 | Bears camp may have taken on a bit more intrigue. The procedure performed Tuesday to alleviate swelling and soreness in the left knee of Brian Urlacher was not the first this offseason for the Bears' franchise middle linebacker, CSNChicago.com has confirmed with two NFL sources. Urlacher had a procedure done shortly after the end of the 2011 regular season. ... One source told CSNChicago.com that Urlacher in fact had a second procedure done last spring. The concerns now become two-fold: whether Urlacher will be sufficiently recovered for the Sept. 9 start of the regular season against Indianapolis, and whether the knee will recover sufficiently between NFL games to allow him to play close to a full season.

So, after these procedures, did he ask people to call him "Brianna?"

He also had a cancer removed from his life with Jenny McCarthy now gone....

Did the Bears hire someone from New England to write up their injury reports? It sounds like they have been hiding a lot of details here. No crime, but definitely a bummer for Bears fans to find out how serious this actually is.

Is Cutler listed as "questionable?" If not, then no, they didn't get anyone from New England.

NFL injury reports are one of the few jobs left for those who majored in Creative Writing. I think it's great for the NFL teams to take that $5 million in stimulus money and pay these people 10 cents over minimum wage to write them.

If I am the Bears Sept. 13th game at GB would be the first game that Urlacher would play this year and then go week to week to see what happens after that.

True, it is still missing some of the stylistic flourishes that mark the true masters.

Hmmmmm....a procedure to ease swelling and soreness from a previous procedures that was months ago if nt a half year ago is never a good sign

I wonder if they were kidding the fans about how serious it was, or kidding themselves, hoping everything would be all right...
