09:12 AM ET 08.18 | "We'll wait and see what happens." That is the plan for Vancouver Canucks forwards Daniel and Henrik Sedin regarding the potential work stoppage in the NHL. If the lockout is implemented for the entire season, the Sedins plan to head home to Sweden to play in the Swedish Elite League, Daniel told Expressen.se. When asked if the twins had a team in mind Daniel said, "Absolutely. We have talked to Markus Naslund this summer here in Ovik and he understands the situation, he has been in the same situation."

The problem with the NHLers going to other leagues if there is a lockout is they take jobs from other players who could use the money

No way. This is what makes the modern unions such a joke. The idea of a "brotherhood" is lost on these clowns and the union exists only to extort wages and benefits from the owners. Yes, yes, I know that there are a few pathetic owners who are foolishly and desperately trying to buy a championship and will cave to ridiculous salary demands or offer middling players stupid amounts of money (see Minny and Philly for starters), but that doesn't absolve the NHLPA from there responsibility to bargain in good faith and in a timely manner.
I know I'm in the minority on this one, but the view from here is that Fehr and the players have planned on, even hoped for a lock out for many months. They have coveted such an action as a way to bring the owners to their knees and the evidence is clear.

So, some poor team in Sweden will have two good regular season players and when the playoffs come these two will under-perform again. Get the riot gear out!

From NHLPA.com
About the NHLPA:
The National Hockey League Players??? Association (NHLPA) is the labour union for the professional hockey players in the National Hockey League.
Not sure how many unions use the word in their official name, but most of the ones I'm aware of don't. Many use terms like "brotherhood" IE; international brotherhood of electrical workers, IBEW, Teamsters or even Association as in this case.
