08:07 AM ET 08.20 | Rookie Russell Wilson sparkled over the weekend, but what does it mean if he doesn't start this week? [For] the past two weeks, Matt Flynn has been Seattle's starter while [Wilson] has come on to play a more compelling second half. Now, that's not an apples-to-apples comparison, as Flynn is playing with a starting offense that doesn't include some of its top receivers while Wilson is facing the lower tiers of the opponent's depth chart. But if Wilson really is part of a three-way competition to start the opener, wouldn't the coaches want to see what he does against the opponent's starters? If Wilson doesn't get that shot, then it's pretty clear the coaches have decided Flynn is the best choice to start.

How long until TJack is let go?

They probably hold him for a couple weeks into the season to make sure no QB injuries on their own team, and to get a possible offer from a team that loses its starter, which always seems to happen.

After what I saw this weekend, they may get an offer from the Jets.

An overabundance of mediocrity.

Matt Flynn wins no matter what. He can either be the starter, or make crazy money to be the most popular guy on the team.

Don't be fooled about the prhase "quarter back competition". A 3 year 26 million dollar contract with $10 mill gauranteed says Matt Flynn is the starter, period.

Or they'll have 10 million less to spend next year.

No, the Jets need to search the waiver wire for someone a lot better than TJack.

Oh, and Jets Suck!!!

Who does'nt ????

Number one why did it take the Hawks this long to pick Flynn their starting QB, and number two TJack needs to thank Childress everyday for drafting him and making him a rich man, because he sure is not a NFL QB.
