08:13 AM ET 08.20 | Back in Syracuse, the city he called home growing up, Andray Blatche hoped over the weekend there would be a new professional basketball home in his future. Blatche, who turns 26 on Wednesday, stands these days at the crossroads of an NBA career that spans seven years, all with the Washington Wizards. On July 17, the Wizards used the NBA's amnesty clause to erase Blatche and his salary cap-clogging $23 million contract from their roster. No other NBA team claimed him. A 6-foot-11 forward with skills that allowed him to average 16.8 points and 8.2 rebounds only two seasons ago was suddenly unemployed. ... [Said Blatche:] "It was more of a blessing to me. I'm looking at that as giving me a chance to go somewhere else and revive my career."

I don't think its totally Andrews fault at all. Look at exactly what Washington has done to people careers since the end of E's, Wes, Kevin's careers. I am elated for the Kid and agree with what he said in terms of this being a blessing. John Wall should get outta that dump to. I just love when all you posters go on raving about how Howard, Melo, James, Paul and others should stay put, honor thier contracts, be quiet and then quitely melt away in these dumps......Denver, Orlando, Washington, New Orleans, Cleveland, and the Pheonixs of the NBA. I think people who are madd share these opinons of delusion and it is absolutely fabulous that these players are paying zero attention to this madness in thought.

Riles is most def a no nonsense guy and I can see him putting the boot on many a booty. That's why Phil Jackson was so successful. It was his way or no way!

Don't mean to correct you but doesn't "three times the charm" mean it'll work the third time? I would have said "three strikes and your out"...

Maybe I'm just not clear on what you mean.
