08:07 AM ET 08.21 | As per teams' standard operating procedures this time of year, Arizona will play most of its starters into the second half Thursday night. [QB] John Skelton will receive the majority of the work with the first-team offense. That doesn't mean, however, that coach Ken Whisenhunt will pick a starting quarterback after that game. The decision could go through the final preseason game, against Denver on Aug. 30. "I don't think there's any pressure or any reason to say you would have to make that decision before that game," Whisenhunt said. ... "The first thing is we have to get John enough snaps to balance it out," Whisenhunt said. By an unofficial count, Kolb has participated in 30 plays this preseason while Skelton has been in for 33.

Yeah. If it were my money, I'd pick up a used music stand.

Isn't that Kolb's nickname?

They will decide once they have one i imagine.

Kolb is done. He's like a fighter who's been knocked out half a dozen times, more worried about being hit than scoring. And he never really proved he was all that in the first place. Arizona needs to cut their losses there. They can keep playing him from here to eternity and he's never going to give them a return on their investment. They should be concentrating on Skelton and Lindley now. Lindley might be a pleasant surprise for them.

Where is Neil Lomax when you need him?

If only. If Wiz has the guts to sit a multi-million $ QB for one that can actually pass to someone. Local papers had Kolb with his eyes closed as some 'D' man grabs him.

Do not put fighters down.

The Cards will settle on a QB once they dump Kolb's sorry ass off the team.
Hopefully he has been smart and saved his money like Carson Palmer did, otherwise he'll have to go hunting for jobs and begging like T.O. but without the talent, personality or upside.
