Warriors ready to make The Leap

08:10 AM ET 08.21 | The remaking of the Warriors over the past year or so has many believing the playoffs are in their future. This is it. No, seriously. Stop laughing. Stop with rubbing the rabbit's foot and searching for four-leaf clovers, too. This is the Warriors crashing the playoffs, once and for all. Really. Not only that, but becoming postseason regulars with a window of opportunity that will last years. ... [The] Warriors are looking at the possibility of an initial postseason appearance as a building block, not a finish line. They have serious questions to answer -- defense and rebounding, health, the ability of the current rookie class to make an immediate contribution -- but also, finally, long-term possibilities.

No Warrior fans?

YES! But we've learned from past experience not to get too excited. Everybody has a plan in August. Unfortunately most of them go down in flames. Call me after the All-Star break.

If Bogut is expected to be your best player, then playoffs is a pipe dream.

Not saying it is wrong to dream, but it is just that.

Yeah along with the Warriors...you can add, say, the Bucks, Cavs, Rockets and a lotta other buster ass teams to your list of teams with newly founded aspirations. Is this $hitt really real is the queston of the day baby.!

"...No, seriously. Stop laughing"

Okay...give me a minute.

August 21, 2012  11:27 AM ET

Oh, on another note.........lets just hope I'm pleasantly surprised by Stat this upcoming season with a Stat's newfound Stativity and become Statlishously happy with his eye opening progress. Let's just hope that this is the case, and not back fights or fists fights with firefighting equipment.

I think you can add the knicks to your list as well. They are the model franchise for newly found aspirations.

Sounds like youre describing every teams concerns outside of the heat and lakers.
