08:11 AM ET 08.21 | Both on and off the court this past season, Amar'e Stoudemire had it tough, forced to deal with issues that ultimately took their toll. "Last season," the Knicks power forward said Monday, "was probably the hardest season I've had in my career." Enter Hakeem Olajuwon. Stoudemire has developed a new low-post game during the offseason with private lessons down in Houston with Hall-of-Fame center Olajuwon. Knicks coach Mike Woodson is a former teammate of Olajuwon, and he asked him to work with Stoudemire. ... "I'm looking forward to showing my opponents my moves that I've been working on with Hakeem," Stoudemire said. "There's so many moves that I picked up from Hakeem. Just developing my post game has been phenomenal for me."

That or a mansion in Newport Beach just like the one Dwight Howard purchased. Neighbors with Kobe at that.

I thought Dolan was a good role model for off court issues.

If Amare plays in the post it will create separation for the offense and the whole team would be better offensively. I hope he is able to power up on his inside game or else those new moves will be futile...

Jordan took years to develop a jumper...its called growth...ppl experience it at different stages. As long as he can translate that to the court, NYK fans wont care

I'll believe it when I see it. Stoudemire has been in the league 10 years. I don't see significant changes to his game at this point.

What Jordan were you watching? Michael just shot more jumpers as he grew older. He averaged a 50% field goal percentage his first 9 years in the league.

As Long as Carmelo is still on the team, he will suck

I hope The Dream also showed him how to play Defense and Rebound more as well - We need at least 10 a night from our starting power forward...!!!

Well if Dream don't snap his funky ass outta his 10 year dream, somebody needs to slap his batch ass. People accuse me of only givin Melo props and hatin on everybody else....not so! I give props to Chandler, Shump, JR. We don't have much else.......the Jury is still out on the three old men...Kidd, Cams, and Kurt....we'll see. This fraud Stat has done everything in his bush league power to be a non asset as far as I'm concerned, so yeah, "I'm not holding out any hope on this fool. Personally I'd be lookin to ship his ass out at any and all cost and if I can't.....well, lets just say, "he'll be a 2 mil bench or suspect role player. "Stat" wake your batch ass up outta that dream.....can you see a rebound? or maybe block a shot or maybe two?
