Sub-par Sunday scrimmage made Barkley sick

08:28 AM ET 08.21 | "Humbled," in the words of Lane Kiffin, on Sunday, the USC offense had a much better day Monday -- even if the weekend wasn't quite out of their heads. USC quarterback Matt Barkley did not take his poor performance in Sunday's scrimmage lightly. "After the game, I felt sick, I really did," the senior said Monday. "I just felt terrible, like we lost the Rose Bowl or something." Barkley and his teammates, by their own admission, lacked focus, energy and execution Sunday, when they committed five turnovers, including four interceptions. It was a different story Monday. Barkley had perhaps his best practice of training camp, and receivers Robert Woods and Marqise Lee made numerous big plays.

Now if he said it felt like they lost to UCLA that would really say something.

Who loses to UCLA?

The Trojans had better keep focused and not let the hype do their playing for them this season. Stanford, Utah (at home), and Oregon won't be pushovers.

I love that SI thought that someone actually gave enough of a s@&t to run this story - talk about bush league. Unreal! No one cares! I can't wait to see USC run into an SEC buzz saw...that is if they can find a way to cheat...er...beat Oregon.

I would love for USC to run into "an SEC buzz saw"!!! I think most FN fans would love to see a great competitive game!!!

SEC speed is waiting for them in January.

Good morning Bro!!! I'm not too sure it will be USC in the NCG, but it could very well be either them or Oregon, unless the voters get it wrong again this year!!! :-)
