08:32 AM ET 08.21 | Because faith isn't always rewarded in Chicago, Blackhawks fans deserve some credit. The possibility of an NHL work stoppage didn't deter Blackhawks fans from snapping up tickets for the 2012-13 regular season Monday. "The phone lines and the number of ports people could get into on the web reached its capacity right out of the gate," Hawks ticket director Chris Werner said. ... Despite the wide gulf between NHL owners and the players' union in negotiations for a new collective bargaining agreement that could result in a delay or cancellation of the season, Werner said Hawks tickets sales were "trending a little bit ahead of last year. It seems like we have more interest than we've had in the past."

It was pretty easy to sell them. Management told Patrick Kane each ticket came with a keg.

I have a sad feeling Ballard sold all the photos of captains hoisting Cups. Maybe to the same guy that has our damn banners.

Does that mean they'll keep showing up at the UC and buy tickets, popcorn and beer to watch the Zamboni on the jumbo-tron?

It's known as the "City of Big Shoulders" but I think that's just an illusion as they're a bunch of pinheads.

Right, because buying tickets for the upcoming season is such a dumb idea. <sarcasm>
