Britt says left knee now a greater concern

08:00 AM ET 08.22 | While he says his focus is not on the concern over a suspension by the NFL, Kenny Britt does have his knees to worry about. [Britt] said Tuesday that if not for the scope on his left knee in June that he would probably already be back practicing with the Tennessee Titans. Britt tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee last September and had a clean-up surgery on that knee in May, but he also had a procedure in late June on his other knee to remove some damaged cartilage. And that, he says, is what is keeping him on the physically unable to perform list. "To tell you the truth, it's the more recent one. If I didn't have that setback, I'd probably be practicing with the fellas right now."

They aren't going to announce a suspension until he's cleared to play, right? Yes, he won't get paid if he's suspended, but part of the whole suspension thing is to make it hurt the team, too, so they will get on his case and get him to clean up his act.

No announcement until he's off the PUP list.

I guess he got a good look at the QB competition.

He will play two or three games, limp off field, and Titans are back to square one with him.....move on and let someone else step up.....not much competition at QB..good news is that we have a seasoned backup(kerrie collins type) to help limp through this season...

This is his EIGHTH "incident" since they drafted him in 2009. Really Roger, what is there to think about?

Well, there is the problem of the officials. Yes, it's a different issue entirely, but how much can that tiny brain of his handle at one time?

They better fix that in a hurry. The replacements are in way over their heads.

I guess I can take him off my fantasy draft roster?

agree....season starts and outcome of first games are in the hands of rookies....guess all teams should start rookies so that the entire playing field is level....

Sadly... He can't be counted on.

I'm familiar with that feeling...

The good news for the titans is that they will not have to use the franchise tag on him or spend $10 million a year for years to keep him. He is making himself very cap friendly in the future.

Serious question - Britt or Goodell?

I'd go for "BOTH," but that might be too easy--Britt is the bigger idiot I guess. At least Goodell is getting paid for his idiocy, while Britt is risking/losing pay for his.

He can't even drive a Racing Car, much less play football!
