Warriors pondering 'reasonable' offer for Curry?

08:09 AM ET 08.23 | Warriors point guard Stephen Curry has his sights set on an October return, and, by all indications, he's on target in recovering from ankle issues that forced him to miss 40 games in 2011-12. He's been rehabbing all summer, and it looks as though he'll be 100 percent by the start of training camp in early October. ... Assuming you're looking at a four-year deal, what do you offer him? Is four years, $32 million a reasonable offer for Curry under the circumstances? How about four years, $28 million? Too low, you say ... how about four years in the $36 million to $40 million range? New Orleans guard Eric Gordon signed a four-year, $60 million deal, and so did Brooklyn center Brook Lopez.

Curry should get somewhere in the range of 4 years, 36-40 mil. But, there will be someone out there willing to give him a deal like Gordon's.

I wouldnt give this guy more than a 4 year 32 million...He has not proven anything yet. Yes he can shoot and yes he can score but he also stays hurt and has not lead his team to even a sniff of the playoffs. I think 8 mill a year is sufficient

The article didnt say he was worried about it..this is more from the POV of mgmt and how they should deal with Steph. I say play it like J.Lin, let the market dictate and if the offer is too high, let him walk. Gotta stay healthy first before you get paid...oh wait, Eric Gordon?

Needless to say, I like Curry. I don't believe he is injury prone or fragile, but instead the product of a botched surgery and too early return. However I think the smart move would be the wait and see approach, but nobody has ever accused the Warriors of being smart.

You didn't like Curry or Lopez from day 1. If it were left up to you, he'd be in the D League. It's not like we're talking Greg Oden. The guy has had one injury that wasn't allowed time to heal properly. Curry averages 17.5 points, 5.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds. He shoots 49% from the field and 45% from three-point range. He deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Puhleeze. The guy has had [b]1[b] freakin' injury. I don't think I'd call that 'broken.' And comparing him to Austin Rivers is ludicrous. It just exposes you as a hater.
