08:11 AM ET 08.23 | Jonas Jerebko and Slava Kravtsov, while playing in 2013 FIBA Eurobasket qualifying, have a few fans in town from Detroit. President of basketball operations Joe Dumars and assistant general manager George David arrived earlier this week in Europe. Obviously they will scout the tournament, but the organization says it's important to show support when players are competing for their countries. Also in Kravtsov's case, they are probably looking to see how he is progressing since they just signed him to a three-year deal this summer. Kravtsov, a 7-foot center, led Ukraine in scoring Tuesday. ... Jerebko had 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists Tuesday for Sweden as it beat Azerbaijan, 96-79. Sweden is 1-1 in Group B.

Damn... Detroit...Get rid of Joe D and blow that team up.....

Captain why would we blow the team up. Now I agree we should rid ourselves of Prince but the rest of the core is young. Knight, Stuckey, Monroe, Jerebko and our 3 rookies from this years daft(although I dont think one will get anytime) and the big guy we signed from overseas now I like Bynum as a back up and coming off the books after the season is Maxell(bum) and Maggette. I say keep Charlie V cause he becomes a trade chip after this season with his expiring contract. We are actually a young team but we have several bad contracts like Prince and CV and Max(Thank you Joe D) but no need to blow the team up.

Detroit was done 5 years ago. They need other plans.

Cleveland should pick up Day. Detroit seems not to use him much.

The team has already been blown up. It's now re-coalescing again.

Cleveland can have Daye....that dude is a one trick pony...he can shoot and often is in a slump at that. He has no D no ball handling skills no strength and no heart .

Hey Detriot - Good analysis and I'll be upfront I haven't looked at the team's makeup this off season so my apologies on my worthless without merit "Blow up' comment...! :-)

Come on Captain...dont back down...get out the TNT for DET! LOL..

He did make a good case for his squad like a good homer does but seriously, that team wont even compete for 8th in the East.

Realisticly I have no dreams of making the playoffs...Im more about the team playing hard every night and the young guys getting better as they did last year. Im no fool and love my team but Playoff...we talking Playoffs....we are at least a year away from that.
