Redd drawing interest from five teams

08:12 AM ET 08.23 | Born in Columbus, Ohio, Michael Redd, who has been significantly slowed by injury in recent years but did play 51 games with Phoenix this past season, might otherwise seem to be a nice add in Cleveland, though that's not the case. Apparently no interest from Cavs on [Redd], but teams mentioned as possible suitors include the ... Wizards, Nuggets, Grizzlies, Bulls, and yes, Thunder, who still have a spot available in the backcourt after Derek Fisher's departure. Both Redd and Fisher are unrestricted free agents, and while clearly past their primes, could still help a team looking for shooting and a veteran presence off the bench. As for Fisher, it would not surprise me to see him end up with the Spurs.

The Spurs don't need him. He could be a nice addition to the Thunder who haven't done much this offseason while teams around them have. They must have a lot of faith in Perry Jones...

I think that it's more a sign that the Thunder are content with what they have. Granted, they haven't done much, but that's because they don't need to. Picking up Redd would be a solid addition, though. I think that he proved last season that he can be a solid contributer to an NBA team.

If Im the Thunder I definitely would sign dude to the vet min....

Honestly, I think the Thunder could use a little more D.

Don't see how Fisher goes to the Spurs unless there is some guard change planned. Spurs have Parker, Mills and Joseph at the point, and then Manu, Neal, Nando and Green at sg.

All with the exceoption of Manu are young. Can't see Spurs giving anyone up for 1 year of Fisher.

Fish is done, Michael Redd is a toss up because of his injury situation. I don't see either really helping a team because the rosters are filled and it would only make sense if they were going to championship quality teams (Lakers, Lakers, and Lakers).

OKC needs all the scoring they can get.The nuggets are good, the grizzlies are good, the bulls signed Belenelli and they still can't trade Rip as nobody is gonna take that contract on.OKC better sign him.

Best option still available for them...they need shooting desperately off the bench

The Nuggets don't need him - he would duplicate the leadership of Miller, and doesn't offer enough of anything else. OKC makes more sense.

If I'm the thunder I'm getting a backup pg....I'm not sure the status of maynor but I don't think he is under contract and fisher at 20 minutes a game isn't going to cut it.

If they think being content is gonna get them a title, they have another thing coming. They didn't even try and pursue Darko or Blatche?Which has me scratching my head, cause Perkins is a zombie vs centers whom can score.Blatche would do wonders for them, but like you say they are "content" so let them think Perry Jones & the acquisition of Thabeet is gonna assure them a title this time around.

Well darko is a bum and doesn't want to be in the NBA and blatche isn't a center and he is as dumb as a rock....

They are looking toward the future. They can't sign anyone to a contract for more than a one year deal bc their money is already tied up in Durant, Westbrook, ibaka, and Perkins plus they have to try and sign harden.

Perry Jones could end up being the BEST pick in this draft.

Sullinger and Jones can be dark horses for ROY (other than the obvious choice of the No.1 pick)
