08:21 AM ET 08.23 | NHL Senior Executive Vice President Colin Campbell believes that the NHL's pool of divers should be exposed. Campbell came to that conclusion after video proposals and extensive discussions with representatives of [players, coaches and general managers] during the two-day Rule Enforcement Meeting, which concluded Wednesday morning. ... He said the players want to distribute a list of divers around the League so it can be posted in all 30 dressing rooms and be delivered to the on-ice officials. "They want to get [the list] out there," Campbell said. ... "The object is to make them stop eventually and, by doing that, they can get it out there around the League, embarrass them."

About time - how about supplemental discipline (e.g. fines or one game suspensions) if replay after the fact proves the dive!

NHLDA? - Mike Ribeiro for President.

Wow, I don't know if they can do this, but at least we are not soccer!

NHL's pool of divers should be exposed.

POOL of DIVERS!!!ha ha ha man those NHL.com people could almost work for T&R.

If they really want to stop this, maybe stop giving both penalties on the same play...if it's a trip, then it can't be a dive and vice versa...

YESSSSSS!!! Been saying this all along. It's either one or the other...how can you have both?

Stirred not shaken?

August 23, 2012  09:22 AM ET

This is a stupid idea. This isnt kindergarten. Why dont the refs just discuss among themselves and call it accordingly.

August 23, 2012  09:25 AM ET

Let's see.....

1.) Cindy Crosby

Sorry that is not correct. I thought they said "whiners"!!!!!!!

Superstars like Crosby can multitask...

August 23, 2012  09:39 AM ET

We'll see. They always talk about cracking down on this stuff but then there is never a follow through. Typical NHL on EVERY issue out there.

Those "video proposals" that the Rules Enforcement Committee are looking at must look like a Canucks highlight film.

August 23, 2012  09:51 AM ET

Ed Harris will play Colin Campbell in the movie.

August 23, 2012  09:54 AM ET

This is an excellent idea. I love soccer but cannot watch it most times due to complete disgust at the fake Nancies rolling around in hollywood agony. Any harsh measure taken now to avoid the same garbage in the NHL is a good one.

August 23, 2012  09:56 AM ET

i dont get what the point is. If they are going to post a list for the teams...the teams/players already know who dives and it won't be a surprise or embarssement. If they post the list to the public that would be more interesting. Would be interesting to hear the 20 or 30 press conferences "i never dive!"

August 23, 2012  09:58 AM ET

Just post the roster in Vancouver.

August 23, 2012  09:59 AM ET

14 posts and not a habs joke to be found. really, I'm disappointed in you guys. lol

Bingo!

August 23, 2012  10:02 AM ET

I really like the idea of doing things to expose the dives...but really? The league putting out a list of divers? And circulating it to the refs? Wow, Colon was never very bright, but this just might take the cake. The refs are obligated to be impartial. I don<t see how sticking a paper under his nose saying, THIS GUY, yah, this one, dont call a penalty no matter what happens to him because he is a faker. Watch how fast the NHLPA will be all over this.

Theres alot of things that they can try BEFORE resorting to this.

August 23, 2012  10:04 AM ET

There are subs, ready to dive in for the posted ones!
