Red Sox find new rock bottom

08:10 AM ET 08.24 | On Thursday night at home, the Red Sox came back from ninth- and tenth-inning deficits -- after squandering a six-run lead earlier -- before falling in an excruciating 4:34 of baseball in Boston. Against all odds, the Red Sox sank to a new low -- or at least an appropriately comparable one -- in a 14-13 loss last night at Fenway Park against the Los Angeles Angels, not exactly a team filled with overachievers. "We're playing (expletive), (expletive) baseball," closer Alfredo Aceves said. ... "I missed a couple of pitches, yeah. It's not about that we lost the game," Aceves said. "There were like 25 runs, so it's not that I pitched one pitch and we lost because of that. It's the entire game."
