08:58 AM ET 08.25 | Tebowmania will not hit the road next week. Jets coach Rex Ryan announced yesterday backup quarterback Tim Tebow will sit out Thursday's preseason finale against the Eagles. It is normal for starters to sit out the fourth preseason game, but a bit unusual for a backup to do so. Ryan intends to have starter Mark Sanchez play into the third quarter tomorrow against the Panthers and then have Tebow finish the game. The duo took all the snaps last week against the Giants, too. "This one, obviously, you want to extend your players, but you're not going to play on Thursday," Ryan said. "With that quick of a turnaround, you're really not going to play them on Thursday." The Jets will use third-string quarterback Greg McElroy and fourth-stringer Matt Simms against the Eagles.

So, if it's normal to sit your starting quarterback in the 4th pre-season game, and the Jets are sitting Tim Tebow, what does that tell you?

Hint: See Post #1 for the answer.

Ha ha. I love the targeted advertising. Up at the top I've got one for Kitchen Aid dishwashers.

"36 Spray Jets."

All it tells me is that the Jets have 2 starting QBs. They're not playing either one.

Damn! In that Tebow pic the dude has some huge quads! No wonder the guy is hard to tackle. He was told to add weight, he did, and he's still rock solid. Hard to disagree that he does whatever he is asked to the best of his ability.

Indeed he does. It would be a much better league if every player on every team had his attitude.
