09:50 AM ET 08.25 | Derek Jeter wasn't happy about being beaned by Indians pitcher Corey Kluber Friday night, but the Captain didn't think there was any intent behind the pitch. The 92 mph fastball hit the side of the bill of Jeter's helmet, sending it flying off his head. Jeter remained on his feet, staggering out of the batter's box before eventually making his way to first base. On TV replays Jeter could be seen admonishing Kluber. Said Jeter: "I told him, 'Be careful when you throw up and in.'"

Thanks, Derek. Should I write that down?

If there was no intent then the pitch just got away, no one likes it but it happens.

Gettin' touchy in NY these days.

the pitchers should get suspended 15 games in this way the teams would be more carefull in how they ask their pitching staff to pitch, plus the team at fault would be affected by the suspended pitcher 6 games aren't enough to reimforce responsabilities!!

twins pitchers got suspended 6 games for throwing behind hamilton now why would the league suspended him with such light punishment?? if the league is goung to prove and improve their rules then they need to be more tough in their fines,,,

how can you prevented from happened?? by appliying heavy fines and give them 15 games suspension, regardless of who its the team or who is the pitcher,,,,

The pitchers have lost their advantage on hitters long ago. Back in the days it was part of the game, but the strike zone has changed for the batter, and if you do get the batter off the plate and hit him, ejected is coming and maybe even be suspended.
