Agent, Jets deny Evander Kane trade rumors

10:16 AM ET 08.25 | Evander Kane still doesn't have a new contract with the Winnipeg Jets, but contrary to some internet speculation, the dynamic left-winger hasn't asked to be traded either. As the rumor-mill swirled late Thursday night and Friday morning, the agent for Kane confirmed that there was nothing to the unsubstantiated reports. "No truth to it," Craig Oster of Newport Sports said in a text message on Friday afternoon. A Jets spokesman also dismissed the report, noting the team doesn't comment on rumors.
