10:23 AM ET 08.26 | Start Derrick Favors, and let the future begin? Or stick with Mr. Reliable, Paul Millsap, and continue to gradually bring along one of the youngest NBA players with a bright-looking future. Propelled into the offseason by a playoff series in which he averaged 29.0 minutes, 11.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks, Favors just wants to see more time on the court than he did in the first two seasons of his career. That personal first-round series success against Tim Duncan and crew only whetted an increasingly voracious playing appetite. He literally wants his time to get here sooner rather than later. "I want to play more than what I played last year," Favors admitted. "If it's starting, cool. If it's coming off the bench, cool. I don't mind. I just want to play more. I don't want to sit on the bench no more."

Not sure if this is a real problem. He should get all the minutes he can handle. Probably just making it clear to Utah so all are on the same page.

I was always told, if you have to ask for respect, you probably haven't earned it.

Asking for more playing time isn't quite the same as asking for respect.

More respect for his game would ultimately result in more playing time

If they're not gonna play Favors at center (and they probably won't) then they'll have to move him or Millsap.

Millsap is 26 and entering his prime. He's also real close to being a 20-10 performer if he get 36+ minutes a game. He'd be real marketable.

Favors is still developing but he's on 21 with 'crazy' upside. Give him 36 minutes andonna have let him develope.....and he can be one special player. He'd be mighty marketable as well.

Sooner or later, Utah's gonna have to make a choice......
