08:03 AM ET 08.27 | The Cowboys and Dez Bryant have apparently agreed on some strict guidelines set to govern the young player off the field. Here's a sampling ... Bryant will not drink alcohol. ... There will be times put in place to restrict how late Bryant is out at night, but he won't necessarily have a specific, drop-dead curfew time. It will be handled on a case-by-case basis. ... [Bryant won't attend any] nightclubs unless the nightclub involves a team function and he has a security team with him. ... He must attend counseling sessions twice a week. ... A multi-member, unarmed security team will be assigned to Bryant, with at least one man with him most of the time. ... Members of the security team will drive Bryant to games, practices and team functions.

Wasn't this on yesterday's T&R? Again..they tried this arrangement with Pacman which completely blew up.

Same rules as yesterday ?

Is he doing that Michael Jackson zombie dance?

August 27, 2012  08:39 AM ET

Perhaps Bryant's parents should have tried rules when he was growing up.

Is he REALLY worth all that hassle?

the backup receivers are a bunch of no-names, so for the time being..ahh, yeah!

they might as well start signing players from prisons and contract the US Marshall's to babysit....Dez Bryant is basically in the same situation, a prisoner in custody....

August 27, 2012  08:51 AM ET

Again... The body guard thing worked for PacMan for a while, up until he befriended his Guards and they tore the club up.

the question is, do they make Bryant financially responsible for this security detail? I would think that the team paying the expense for this one player should count toward the salary cap since it isn't much different than any celeb hiring their own security....

is it much different than paying the player with services? Teams can't pay a player a lower "salary" and then compensate the difference with a house and cars, drugs and hookers....that would have to be part of the cap space...

it would also lessen the strain on the prison system and provide an additional incentive for behavioral correction...
