08:09 AM ET 08.27 | For his part, Kevin Durant feels as if he's entering his prime. Back home in Washington for a brief reprieve to promote and premiere for family and friends his feature film debut, "Thunderstruck," Durant also wanted to let it be known that while he won't turn 24 until late September, the Oklahoma City all-star forward considers himself too much of an essential element of the NBA's present to be clumped into discussions about its future. "I've heard a few times, in three or four years, this league is going to be yours. ... I don't like that. Because I think I'm established now. My time is now," Durant said. "I feel as though I've proved myself these last five years that I can be one of the top players in the league."

Maybe you should go ahead and wait for those 3-4 years. I think LBJ proved last year that HIS time is now.

They can beat the Lakers, but they cannot beat the Heat for sure

OKC just needs to do their thing, just like last season, not worry about Heat or LA.
Sure, those 2 are better teams right now, but 1 or 2 injuries can tilt that in a jiffy. All KD can do is play their best and put themselves in a position to be in the WCF. If they catch a lucky break, they can be back in finals.

More Durant and less WestBrick?

I think the Thunder as well as Durant, would be a different team if they were to acquire a point guard, and move Westbrook to the 2.

They would be WORSE. Despite his sometimes selfish ways, the team is better with him at the PG

Once again, the Thunder get worse. The main hole in Westbrick's game is his shoot-first attitude. But he's a matchup nightmare for every PG in the league on Offense. And he plays good defense....
