Pressure mounting on Notre Dame's Kelly

08:20 AM ET 08.27 | Signs are pointing to progress in South Bend. Player development was an intangible that, three years ago, gave Brian Kelly hope for success with Notre Dame's relatively uncultivated bumper crop of football recruits. While dealing from the bottom -- or maybe even the middle -- of the talent deck, Kelly found winning formulas at Grand Valley, Central Michigan and Cincinnati. It's put-up time for the Irish. The talent pool's deeper at Notre Dame. Sink or swim. Kelly and his staff get the chance to show off that knack for development. Quarterback, receiver and cornerback all are areas that will be scrutinized closely this fall. ... Notre Dame circa 2012 could actually be better than last year's edition, but still end up with a worse record.

It really comes down to can he develop a good QB? So far he has stumbled in that area. If he does, they will be fine, if not?

Simple. They are just like them. Pre-SEC 1 NC in 1939. After joining the SEC they "found" 2 more and added them to the total. In the past year they have gone from 1 to 3 NC's. Guessing they read the part of the handbook on padding your totals. Someone should be careful or they may surpass 14 and be the leader in the clubhouse.

Got it.

Can't wait to see the SEC crowds reaction to the aTm cheerleaders.

HMMMM so informative that a coach in his 3rd year needs to develop his own recruited talent in order to succeed and keep his job. This is pulitzer prize winning material!!!
