USC places giant billboard in UCLA's backyard

08:17 AM ET 08.28 | The rivalry between UCLA and USC has taken on a new dimension. Case in point: If Bruins players or fans had forgotten what Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley looks like, he can be found looking skyward at the corner of Westwood Boulevard and Lindbrook Drive. Barkley, alongside the words "WE PLAY TO FINISH" -- the LA in PLAY highlighted -- graces a billboard in Westwood not far from the UCLA campus. How far? Taking a couple of his best passes from USC's 50-0 rout of UCLA last fall, about two completions away. Certainly too close for comfort, according to UCLA players. "We need to change that. Oh, we need to change that," Bruins Y-back Darius Bell said. "This is our neighborhood." USC has won 12 of the last 13 games against UCLA.

The billboard should read. Use Trojans or your kids could grow up to be Bruins.

Yep, but only for a little bit longer...58 1/2 hrs till kickoff.

Of course, I'm giving the interns too much credit. They'll still find some STUPID threads to run even after we have real CFB to talk about.

USC is just trying to make sure the Billboard was located in the Mora Safety Zone.

There are aggies in Montana.

A man trying to create a Bigfoot hoax on a highway died after being hit by two cars, officials in Montana said.

Randy Lee Tenley dressed in a Ghillie suit -- camouflage designed to resemble the ground and trees -- and stepped out onto Highway 93 Sunday night, officials said.

"He probably would not have been very easy to see at all," said Jim Schneider, a state trooper.

A 15-year-old girl hit him with her car, another car swerved, and a third car driven by a 17-year-old ran him over, CNN affiliate KECI reported.

Tenley was "well into the driving lane," and according to his companions he was "attempting to incite a sighting of Bigfoot -- to make people think they had seen a Sasquatch," Schneider said in the KECI report.

But authorities received no calls from drivers thinking they had seen Bigfoot, the station reported.

Officials with Montana Highway Patrol District 6, which includes Flathead County where the incident took place, could not be reached for comment Tuesday morning

The gene pool in that area improved.
