08:06 AM ET 08.29 | Rajon Rondo wants to be good -- legend good. Speaking to the media shortly after landing in the Philippines, Rondo, who has never lacked self-confidence, says he's at a good place right now, but when it's all said and done he has a bigger goal in mind: Rajon hopes to go down as the greatest point guard in Boston Celtics history. More details, via Interaksyon.com: Barely four hours after landing in Manila, NBA all-star guard Rajon Rondo took time to unwind at the Titan 22 barber shop at The Fort. He then went straight to scheduled business, talking to local media about, among other things, his place in Boston Celtics lore. "I hope I can end my career as the greatest point guard in the history of the Boston Celtics," he said.

Talk is cheap. He has to put in the work. He also needs to be humble enough the fact that he has head issues and needs to find someone that can help him. There's a fine line between arrogance and confidence so he has to learn to walk that line.
But in the grand scheme of things what's it worth being the best point guard Celts ever had? I think that's a low bar. I wish he can aspire to be something better than that..

Quit dreamin Rondo. Here me loudly.....you will never be as or as revered as Cousy. Then you have Dennis Johnson, a HOF'er and 3X champ, 1X Finals MVP, and lets not forget JoJo White 2X champ, 1X Finals MVP and IMO should be a HOFer and OBTW ouside of my Knicks Frazier was widely considered the 2nd best all around PG in the NBA from 70-75 a feat you have never been so considered. I like you Rondo, but hold tight, greatest C's PG....now thats dreamin. I will say this though...its nice to have those aspirations and you're OBTW a very talented pg. Good Luck!

You're wrong in you opinon that being the best Celtics pg is a low bar........HOF'ers Cousy, Archibald, and Johnson, not to mention JoJo White..its very apparant that you did not see mr. White play with your warped cavalierness. The players would have a lot to say to you about that devoid analogy.

Opinions are free so you shdn't pass judgement on that. Secondly (once again my opinion) I feel like there's more to life than a game (basketball) so I would want to be something better than being a great ball player.

As opposed to "Making the playoffs", or "getting to the second round" - like the Knicks aspire to? LOL.
Give the kid some credit!! He's not perfect, but he's trying!

Does anyone know what a "devoid analogy" might mean?

Unless I missed something in context, your opinon was that aspiring to be the greatest PG in C's history was a low bar, and not life as you now say you were implying. I guess I don't read context very well.....my bad.........oh, not, I don't think so, so stop kidding yourself if you think I'm going for that. Face it Lostwill, you were not implying life as you say with you expressed you opinon of which you are entitled to.......OBTW as wrong as it was as related to Rondo setting a bar.
