08:08 AM ET 08.29 | Dwyane Wade is back -- well, sort of. For the first time since he underwent July 9 arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, [Wade] has resumed court work. Says who? Says Wade. Tuesday evening, during the break between his charity events this past weekend in Chicago and his upcoming book tour, Wade posted on Twitter: "Whew..first day on the court since my surgery..oh and that look on my face was b4 the workout started..haa." ... Two weeks ago, while hosting his annual adult fantasy camp on Miami Beach, Wade said he was disappointed that he could not participate in the camp, limiting his competitive interaction to a 3-point contest with the adult campers. At the time, he said, "I can't start really working out until the first week of September."

Yup. With the LBJ and Bosh acquisitions Miami has brilliantly prepared themselves for the inevitable. Wade is still good, but I suspect when he goes out, he'll do it much in the way Roy Jones Jr. did in boxing. It will be an abrupt, drastic, and unreboundable dissolution of his abilities.

If you consider the fact that Wade is an undersized shooting guard you just can't help but have great respect for the guy. Despite all the nags and bruises he's been able to perform when it counts. He's also kept his head straight despite his mistakes - then you look at people like JR Smith, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry, Darko and y're like... where did the years go?

Even if he goes down and never comes back I think he's overachieved. Dubing Lebron and Bosh to join him is probably his biggest achievement... bigger than any ass he's hauled on South Beach...

Although I might get cut for this....It doesn't matter if he's ahead of schedule, behind schedule or whateverHe's going to get hurt again, always does...he just has to hope its the more chronic stuff, rather than major stuff

Especially if he keeps on playing in the say way he always has which is hard on a body.

A book tour? Don't you have to be able to read before you can write? Oh wait, no doubt a ghost writer did the actual work.

???? Your hate is showing.

He has been a great player. Plays hard, plays well. Unfortunately, his style is just not sustainable for the long term. He'll be remembered as a great player, and definitely as the greatest Heat shooting guard.

They don't need Wade at 100% till playoffs anyway. This is SUCH a loaded team now. It doesn't even matter if they come out as the no 1,2,3 in the regular season. So long they got their big-3 healthy for playoffs, Heat will repeat!

That's true. I'm hopeful for him (*homer alert* I'm a huge D Wade fan so take that into account while reading this) though because of the way players like Kobe and Nash are still playing very well so late into their careers - and Nash has chronic back problems. With the advanced medicines and technology, there is a good chance he still has a lot left in the tank. *fingers crossed very tightly*
