08:18 AM ET 08.29 | Florida goalie Jose Theodore knows his way around trade speculation, and some of it figures to find him heading to Vancouver in the event the Panthers swing a deal for Roberto Luongo. [Theodore was asked if he was surprised to hear talk that Florida might want Luongo:] Not at all. But as of now it's just rumors. You are always going to hear talk of this or that, but it doesn't take away from the team and what we have. Nothing can take away from what we did as a team last year. It doesn't bother me at all. It doesn't change how I wake up in the morning or sleep at night. It's not going to change how I prepare myself. It doesn't change anything. ... [Luongo's] a great guy and he wants to be somewhere where he's wanted.

Theodore did take home the MVP and Vezina trophy 1 season...hes mentally stronger than Luongo too IMO.

I always liked him. He's a class act too and has had some great stretches in his career. Is he better than Luongo? In my opinion he often can be............and he costs a lot less to keep on your team. I don't see any upside to pushing him out to get Luongo..............for Florida.

He should do what I do. Stand in a crowd and comb other peoples hair on to your head. It really works and you can't tell. Plus it is better then walking around looking like Joe Pepitone.

Good memory Whale! He and his wife had tragedy in their own life and were really active in charity and help for kids when they were in the DC area. I haven't followed him much since he's been in Florida but I'm sure he's still working on it.
