08:00 AM ET 08.30 | Any burying of the hatchet between Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys appears to have happened, considering Johnson's recent statement that nothing would make him happier than to see Jerry Jones' franchise win another ring. [Johnson] re-iterated he now has nothing but respect for Jones, who he said should not be blamed for their abrupt divorce. "(Jerry) doesn't deserve all the abuse," said Johnson. ... Following up on the theme, Johnson said Tony Romo "catches more undeserved abuse" than any player in the NFL. "The guy is a great quarterback," Johnson said. But he won't win acclaim until he leads the Cowboys to a Super Bowl title. "You've got to win a ring to get it done," he said. "I think Romo can get it done. I love Tony Romo."

Romo has all of the physical skills to do the job but the mental toughness he has not. I've seen it time and time again where he cannot hold on through the 4th quarter. Just like in sales, you can't win it all unless you know how to close.

One step at a time. You don't get a ring until you make the playoffs. This isn't Youth Soccer.

Jimmy's phrase, "How bout them Cowboys???", rings kind of hollow these days.

I guess time does heal all wounds. And most petty jealousies. Jimmy belongs on the Cowboy's Ring of Honor. The ball's in your court, JJ.

We should blame Jimmy as much as Jerry...both of them were the reason for the "divorce".
As for Tony Romo...I have always been drinking the Romo Cool-Aid. He does get a lot of blame for things but very little credit when he leads them to wins.
People will never forget the Seahawks playoff game, nor the late losses to the Jets and Lions last year.
But games like the 49er game last season always fall on deaf ears.
The team failing in recent years is not on Romo...until we fix that D (hopefully it has this year), they will be an 8-8 team. If that Pass D ends up being as billed this year, we could make some noise with this squad.
Once again, who are you going to guard?? Austin, Bryant or Witten?? How about Murray too?

Tony Romo is not a great QB until he consistently proves it on the field.

EXACTLY! The Cowboys need their own MASH unit right now just to keep their players on the field.

If they cut Romo today he would have twenty five offers to start before breakfast tomorrow. As well as making more money. But the best part would be hearing a bunch of you guys scrambling to climb on his bandwagon when he walked into your locker room.

Yeah. And he showed some toughness last year playing through injuries. But, he doesn't have a championship team around him, and we always seem to talk about that "window" closing.
