Seat warming under Frazier?

08:01 AM ET 09.03 | Toward the end of Leslie Frazier's first full season as a head coach in Minnesota, Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome called to offer Frazier some support. "By the third or fourth year, we hit our stride," Newsome told Frazier. "You've just got to do it your way. Don't feel like you have to junk everything you believe in. You're a good coach. You've been a good coach. You're going to succeed." Frazier needed to hear that. And Newsome might be right. Then again, this isn't 1996 Baltimore. ... [Will Frazier] have time to show he is indeed a good coach? To implement his vision? Will a mere improvement from a franchise-record-tying 13 losses be enough to preserve his job if the Vikings don't make at least a slight playoff push?

Not like he has a lot of quality players to coach.

I say he gets a pass on last year; AP going down, rookie QB, has an owner named Ziggy, what other proof do you need?

Seat warming under Frazier? Yep. He could be gone during the season.

The Pack is already going to be very good, and the Bears will be much improved this year. It will be interesting to see how the Lions turn out. Vikes might be looking at last place in the division.

You are right. They handed him an empty gun. Never thought he should have taken that job. sometimes you only get that one chance.

I agree, he should get a pass because of the hand he was dealt last year, I think there will be an improvement this year

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day.

Give a man a dead fish and he will stink too.

Playoff push? This team will be lucky to go 7-9. I don't understand the logic of these teams that gut their roster, hire and unproven coach, and then **** and moan about results and expectations. Those left the building when your team got old and slow, your RB blew out his knee and your QB is Sanchez-Midwest. Now leave the guy alone for a season or two until we get a clear read on his skills.

Give the guy a chance. Jeesh! What good does it do them to start all over again now. If you are not happy, maybe look at your GM first and then your scouts and pro personnel evaluators.

Spielman is the GM. New. fine. But he was Vice President of Player Personnel for five years before now. If the cupboard is bare, maybe he had something to do with emptying it.

As a fan of Frazier... He certainly deserves a chance to have a fair shot.

As a ViQueen hater... Go ahead and fire him, Ziggy. Instability is good.

That is the same team that was in the NFC Championship game two years ago with the exception of QB.

A dead fish or a loose woman.

The QB, a broke down RB, a career year from DE and two 50 year old juicers named Williams. Definitely NOT the same team...and that team overachieved.
