08:05 AM ET 09.03 | In the NBA, these could be considered the dog days of the offseason, stuck somewhere between free agent signings and the opening of camps. Among the free agents remaining on the market is former Celtic Mickael Pietrus, who does not want to play for the league minimum. The Bucks had expressed interest in Pietrus but he remains without a team. The Celtics still have their $1.95 million biannual exception remaining but are expected to wait until close to the regular season to use that, perhaps on a player waived by another team. ... Players such as Kenyon Martin, Tracy McGrady, Michael Redd, Leandro Barbosa, Josh Howard, Derek Fisher, and Gilbert Arenas remain available. As with Pietrus, it may take deep into training camp for many of these veterans to sign.

I am 100% certain that he gets more than the minimum and I hate to say it but he's worth more than that to a team. If you think I'm kidding........let him stick to his guns and not sign, the wait to trade deadline or when teams a making a playoff run, he'll get 2.5 plus for a half a season, who are we kidding. This is the NBA and as such, with this owners spending habits of late, they'll have no problem upping the ante.......bank on it, if I'm him I would!

Meh...you can find a third guy off the bench on any street corner in America. Why pay this journeyman?

Wow.....didn't know you could go on the street corner find a guy with a particular skill set sorely needed in the NBA as Pietrus has and that would be.......stretching the floor with shooting, including 3 pt plus range and a terrific defensive game. I mean the guy give the NBA's best player LeBron fits and you could find this guys just about on any street corner in America. Wow...I didn't know that and I'm certain most NBA GMs didn't know as much as well. Thanks for fillin us in on this.........

he's a 35 percent shooter who averages 8 a game for his career with no steals. If you can't replace that or get it for cheap, you're a crappy GM. and if he's so valuable, why is on a new team every season last four years? You'd want to hang on to a guy as valuable as you make him sound, right?

your partially right..in my mind he is no 6th 0r 7th man on a good team but to be a winning team you have to have guys like this to fill your team out...guys you can count on to come in and make shots...and 8 ppg off the bench isn't that bad plus 35% from 3pt line isn't that terrible

not bad, not terrible I agree. but very pedestrian. random guys come out of noplace every year to give you 8 per at 35%. The Spurs have made a dynasty of finding them for the minimum. I'm saying you don't have to negotiate with a journeyman for those contributions.
