08:17 AM ET 09.03 | The Red Sox may be about to change their course yet again in this dispiriting season. Next stop on the Red Sox 2012 death march up the West Coast is Seattle. And principal owner John Henry and general manager Ben Cherington are on Puget Sound waiting for them. Exactly what fate awaits them there, both on and off the field, remains to be seen, as indications grew [Sunday] night that the owners have become increasingly frustrated with the team's shoddy performance of late and want to try to salvage something positive before the season ends. Anything is possible now, from the dismissal of manager Bobby Valentine down to something as simple as just wanting to show support to Valentine and a team that is crumbling before everyone's eyes.

IMO, he's already quit. Some of the moves he's made in the last few days reek of a man trying to get fired.

The players knew that Valentine was close to the bottom of the managers management wanted. To me it was like hiring Casey Stengel Jr. They should have hired , and will end up hiring, somebody that won't be headline material himself everyday.

To be fair, Larry is one of the best executives in the game running the daily operations of a baseball club. He was very instrumental in the refurbishing of Fenway Park and making the team a lot of money in the process. That's where Larry shines.
Larry's problems begin when he starts getting involved in decisions regarding players, coaches or managers. Those decisions need to be left to a baseball man, which Larry is not, although he thinks he is.

Amazing. The Red Sox have gone from the best team in baseball in April 2011, or so I thought, to whatever you want to call this mess. Not sure I've seen a team this good implode this fast in any sport.

Not4Nutten but Larry Luciano has another World Series Ring with Baltimore, a Super Bowl Ring with Da Redskins, and a Final Four Patch! That's what I see!
