08:26 AM ET 09.03 | Thanks to four flights that covered 19 hours, getting Blues prospect Vladimir Tarasenko to Missouri was no small feat, and keeping him now becomes a curiosity. If there is a lockout in the NHL, Tarasenko could have the option of returning to the KHL or playing with the Rivermen, the Blues' American Hockey League affiliate in Peoria, Ill. Tarasenko reportedly turned down millions from the KHL to play in the NHL, where he will receive a base salary of $900,000 and potential incentives. He would make substantially less in the AHL. ... [Said agent Mike Liut:] "Peoria is always an option, but I am not sure the American League is as good as the KHL from that standpoint. And now you're really asking him to give up a lot of money. It's still pretty much up in the air."

Maybe not.................but he's got a lot of flight miles. Enough for a round trip between Moscow and St Petersburg on Southwest...................of course that route hasn't started yet.

Hey Mike Liut: The takeoffs and landings aren't as heart stopping though.
