08:03 AM ET 09.04 | Things may soon be coming to a head in Cleveland, where the front office has become a little crowded near the top. [Mike Holmgren] heads into his third season -- the one in which he expected to see a big turnaround -- knowing full well that he might not be with the team to see it all unfold. New Browns owner Jimmy Haslam will be approved Oct. 16, and a new czar -- still believed to be former Eagles President Joe Banner -- is set to take over at the end of next month. But Holmgren, who is in the third year of a five-year contract, won't be the one to walk away from what he started. "I've never quit anything in my life," he said. Does he envision fulfilling his contract here? "I hope so," he said. "That's what my plan is."

If they don't give Holmgren this season to show improvement, shame on them.
And if he doesn't show improvement, then shame on him.

So this is the big year that the Browns sweep the AFC North and take it to the playoffs?
Doubt it. More realistically; 4-12 with everyone getting fired week 8.

Why?...........heres a guy who had limited success in Green Bay (one SB) and zero success in Seattle. A coupla nondescript years in Cleveland (this however is largely expected in Cleveland land) so no surprise here. Overrated Mike is and I hope his buster ass get shipped.

If Haslam really is a 1000% Steeler fan he would keep Holgrem and Co in place !
