08:13 AM ET 09.04 | Quarterback David Garrard, in his return to practice Monday after knee surgery nearly a month ago, went through some drills but did not participate in either 7-on-7 or full-team drills. "They didn't want me to, and I didn't feel like I was quite ready to move with guys flying around me," Garrard said. "But I feel good. I know I'm not quite exactly where I want to be, but it felt good just being back out there, realizing I can still drop and do all of those things." Garrard's health could be the deciding factor in whether the Dolphins keep him or Matt Moore as the Dolphins' backup. The Dolphins very much value Garrard but want to make sure he's healthy. It's possible they could begin the season with Garrard and Moore on the roster.
