08:24 AM ET 09.04 | Troy Tulowitzki's roadmap to return to the Rockies has now been determined, and it includes more at-bats in the minors. After going 0-for-3 as the designated hitter on Monday for Triple-A Colorado Springs, he will play shortstop Wednesday (five innings) and Thursday (seven innings) and be available to pinch hit Friday for Double-A Tulsa in its playoff series. Tulowitzki, who would like to play for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic in March if healthy, remains driven to return this season, but not if he can't play at 100 percent. Making backhand stabs in the field and running the bases remain the final hurdles to clear. The Rockies would like to see the two-time all-star paired this month with Josh Rutledge, who would shift to second base.

Yeah, if I'm the Rockies I drop the subtle hint of "No way in hell your playing in that" to Tulo.
