08:25 AM ET 09.04 | An intra-state rivalry has taken on another chapter, this one written in the social media space. Michigan State players took to Twitter on Saturday as Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson struggled against Alabama. ... "Is this guy really a QB I'll say my mans (walk-on Tommy Vento) is a better QB lol," linebacker Denicos Allen tweeted. "S/O to my boy vento by the way." "DENARD IS SOOOO BAD!" safety Kyle Artinian tweeted. "And it makes me feel so good." "I can play quarterback for the school in blue," linebacker Jamal Lyles tweeted. "(Le'Veon Bell) for heisman > the other guy in the great state of michigan." ... Michigan State has backed up the talk, stopping Robinson in the past while putting together a four-game winning streak in the rivalry.

As a Michigan fan let me get this out of the way early. We got our **** kicked by 'Bama. Michigan didnt deserve to be on the same field with them. Now, I trust that Hoke and company will evaluate and improve each week. Let Sparty talk their ****

Last year's Sugar Bowl gave them a false sense of recovery.

Just because you think it, doesn't mean you need to say it.....Twitter is stupid

over-rated player anyway. never knew why people suck up to him so much and say he's the new michael vick when there's alot of other qb's out there that are mike-like and better(whether running or throwing).

This kind of talk many times bites you in the rear.

I had a feeling we could shut down Denard because VT basically shut him down in the Sugar Bowl. And that is what happened.

Great game, JK...congrats. Can't wait to see them in person in 2 weeks. One hell of a good CFB team.

Hey JK I agree that we were able to shut down DR but it did concern me to see receivers running free as much as they did. I am not sure if it was the scheme that Kirby was using but on more than one occasion the receivers were behind the defense or found large holes in coverage. Thank God DR could not hit the broad side of a barn. What did you think?

100% affirmative. Not sure why sparty is talking trash anyway. They sqeaked by a depleted Boise team and looked pretty bad doing it.

With the exception of 'Bama, week one didn't answer a lot of questions for most top 25 teams....

So you must be expecting a loss if you really want to them :)

IMO, it'll be a competitive game. Wilson will put up some points. We played a base defense w/ no stunts on Saturday.....d looked bad. I expect better against Gump. As for win or loss, IMO nobody was beating them on Saturday. If they play that well in Fayetteville, they will win

If you want to be the best, play the best. Yes, I look forward to seeing Gump in person, W or L. Better than watching a directional school.
