No. 1 choice to host national championship game

08:26 AM ET 09.04 | Nearly everyone who comes away from the new Cowboys Stadium comes away impressed. [Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones has outdone himself, creating a one-of-a-kind venue that should play host to the biggest and brightest events in football, college and pro. If this billion-dollar palace isn't the home of the first national championship game under the new playoff format, there should be an investigation. One request, though, for Mike Slive and the other power brokers that'll choose the venue. When you make the easiest decision you've ever made and choose Cowboys Stadium, and when the game to decide the 2014 national champion is played in Jerry World, do us all one more favor. For old times' sake, please open the roof.

Depends on the day. Been known to be mid 60s in January in Arlington. Also been known to be 25 and snowing.

I hate the place. You are so far removed from the game that it's a horrible gameday experience. The only people that are impressed are the ones that have never seem a big tv and just watch the game on the jumbotron.
Its a pos as far I'm concerned, and isn't anywhere close to the Rose Bowl or half the college stadiums.

The opening in the roof is about the size of the sunroof in my car

LOL, you know damn well it matters to me, but if it is two SEC teams, I hope they keep their A-S-Ses away from our Rose Bowl, I don't want them anywhere near the place!!!! :-)

GTH, I can watch USC at JerryWorld, I will just have a hard time watching two SEC teams at the Rose Bowl. :-)

Good idea, the folks out there would be confused by the defense. Plus the smell of pigs feet cooking from the tail gaters may just be too much to handle. : )

Was about to pounce on you there. D. Wouldn't be Auburn heading that direction anyway. LSU, BAMA, or ARKY, but if it's ARKY no defense there so PAC fans would be very happy.

I agree, I think that Bama or LSU have a very good chance to play either USC or Oregon. I don't see Arky going to the big game, as IMO they aren't any better than Stanford. I really don't know all that much about other teams from other Conferences. Very interesting game coming up this weekend, when Oklahoma State visits Arizona.
