08:30 AM ET 09.04 | Tyrann Mathieu's second chance, of sorts, will come at LSU, and while it won't include football any time soon, it will include a mentor in former NBA player John Lucas. After his dismissal [from LSU], Mathieu expressed a desire to re-enroll and return to LSU for the 2013 football season. LSU officials, including Tigers Coach Les Miles, have declined to speculate on Mathieu's eligibility beyond the 2012-13 school year. ... Tyrone Mathieu said he thinks his son is still interested in playing for the Tigers in 2013. "I would think so," the elder Mathieu said. "But right now we're working on his maturity and his academics. It's kind of early to talk about all that stuff. I'm going to let Mr. Lucas talk about that."

Yep, it has to be in that order. Won't work the other way.

He is going to a good guy to "fix" things. Lucas knows of what he speaks.

QUOTE(#6):

Watching the LSU game right now, the punter, a 23 year old Aussie as a true freshman. How come such an old age, what happened? He did good in that one that sailed over his head, fetched it and still got the kick off.So far, the passing still not so hot, hope it gets better in this game.

They won't need to pass 'til the Bama game.

He graduated high school in 06 and did not play football. He develop his skills for kicking afterwards and now at LSU.

Wish I could argue that, but I tend to agree. I think they beat Arky on Sept 15 by running between the tackles. Wilson will score on them but that offensive line lloks like they'll blow holes open that you could drive a truck through.
