08:03 AM ET 09.05 | If there's one thing Charlotte needs, it's, well ... just about everything, which is where veteran free agents come in to play. [The Bobcats] might work out former NBA All-Star Tracy McGrady soon, to explore whether the 15-season veteran guard-forward could help the roster. McGrady, 33, played last season for the Atlanta Hawks, averaging 5.3 points and 44 percent shooting off the bench. The Bobcats will hold a joint news conference with UNC Asheville on Wednesday, when the team is expected to announce it will hold training camp on the college's campus next month. The Bobcats previously trained in Charlotte or at UNC Wilmington.

He can also get you out of the first round of the playoffs with 3 wins in a seven game series.

True... but T-mac is wasting his time there as they are not going to the playoffs. T-Mac needs to join a team already going to the playoffs.

lol.....could you imagine if tmac roided up, saw all the german drs and came back, averaged 20 pts and let the cats to the playoffs?

Sounds like a dream...dont wake me! LOL..would be a nice reason to visit the arena next season. But I do like what I've seen from MKG this summer and the new coach seems to be very passionate and fiery. We'll see how that translates to this team picking up more than 7 Ws when the season starts tho

I can imagine the Princess Bride being a non-fiction documentary before I could imagine what you just said...

I hope they mean ANOTHER McGrady...

is he doing any scoring? that was the rub on him, that he isn't a 'scorer'....who does he remind you of?

Yeah..thats my concern too, he really doesnt have a game that I can pinpoint or reminds me of another player. If he were able to shoot it better, Id say maybe Ricky Pierce. Good all around player, not spectacular but a stud on defense.

Your thoughts?
