08:05 AM ET 09.06 | Ready or not, here comes the NFL season, Andrew Luck. [Luck] was a redshirt freshman Sept. 4, 2009, the eve of his first start at quarterback for Stanford at Washington State. He was restless in Pullman, Wash. "I remember not sleeping very well the night before and realizing I hadn't been hit in like a year and a half," the Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback said Wednesday. Flash-forward to Sunday, when Luck makes his NFL debut against the Bears at Chicago's Soldier Field. "I hope I get some good sleep (the night before)," he said. "We'll see. I can't guarantee it. I'm sure I'll be a little anxious, a little nervous." ... First-year coach Chuck Pagano has no doubt his rookie QB will be "anxious, just like everybody else."

He'll be fine after he gets drilled a few times.

Usually settles them down pretty quickly.

Like Romo last night.

"I hope I get some good sleep (the night before)." Get really drunk. It works for me.

You Will Need More Than Luck, Bro.

Wow. A pro football player who is not making a guarantee?

Pop a couple of Tylenol PM's, Andrew. It's not like you have to be up at dawn.

He will never play for the Jets.

Just write down " $22.1 million in the bank, all guaranteed" and put it inside your helmet.

There, now go play.

There is a 98% probability he will never play for the Jets.

I must say, Romo was fantastic last night. 22/29 (76%) for 307 and 3 TDs. QB rating: 129.5. Bodes well for the Cowboys. Can't wait for 'Boys vs. Ravens, Saints, 'Skins.

He seems a little smarter than the average pro football player--I heard that even football players at Stanford have to attend classes. He might have even taken his own tests. I suspect he will at least check his bank balance before the game starts and trot out there with a smile on his face.

Captain Obvious is writing for the Indianapolis Star now? Excellent.

He feels better about his future already.

Art Modell passed way this morning. Thoughts and prayers to his family, although I imagine there are a few Browns fans out there who might not be as charitable...
