08:06 AM ET 09.06 | The clock is ticking, and the buildup has been considerable. Now, finally, the time has just about arrived for Robert Griffin III to begin trying to deliver on all that promise. The rookie quarterback plays in his first real NFL game Sunday in New Orleans, a place he calls his true home town, when the Washington Redskins open the regular season against the Saints at the Superdome. Griffin said Wednesday that the sense of anticipation is building for him. ... Even Griffin's rival, Saints quarterback Drew Brees, is anticipating Griffin's debut. "You figure it's only a matter of time before he takes this league by storm," Brees said in a conference call Wednesday with Washington area reporters. "I just hope it doesn't happen on Sunday."

Well, after watching my Giants pass defense get scorched last night, I am NOT looking forward to RGIII. Gotta give Romo a lot of credit for the way he played last night, especially with the O line he has.

Here's what I thought the key to the game was last night...

Cowboys ran the ball 26 times & threw it 29 times.

We have been screaming for Garrett to get some balance in his play calling for the last 4+ years. We finally got it last night. With your Defensive Line's ability to get after the QB... the Cowboys HAD to make them play honest.

The secondary was expected to be bad again this year, again because of injuries. The problem was the DL didn't get enough pressure on Romo, or Romo was able to avoid it. He was step ahead of the pass rush most of the game. If he continues to play like that, the Cowboys will be tough this year.
