Rest assured, there are equally exciting times ahead for the Suns. To start with, while Goran Dragic is no Nash, he is also not the same player he was when Suns fans last saw him. ... The Suns have also ramped up their front court game with the additions of Luis Scola and Jermaine O'Neal, two solid veterans who will contribute as much off the court as they will on it. In the case of O'Neal, he will likely contribute a lot more off of it, as the likelihood that he will play a lot of games is, as always, low. Scola is a tough customer, and will push his new teammates to new heights.

I've actually watched quite a bit of him. I will concede that he has made some improvements since he first entered the league, but he has a terrible shot and his decision making is typically poor at best.

If the Suns don't get a playoff spot, it is because the west has a lot of good teams this year. I think the Suns could get 50 wins.

I think they've had several "contending" years. They've just never been built to take it over the top and win it all. Those years of glory were based on a fast transition game, and history has shown that the playoffs favor a team that can dominate in the half-court set.
