08:10 AM ET 09.06 | The offseason will soon morph into the preseason in the NBA, with some teams getting a jump on the transition. Knicks sharpshooter Steve Novak told ESPNNewYork.com on Wednesday that he and most of the team have organized a "pre-training camp" starting Monday. The camp will take place at the Knicks' training facility in Greenburgh, N.Y., and will continue all the way through Oct. 1, when the Knicks must report for media day. Novak said the activities will include alternating days of basketball and conditioning skills work. "We just want to make sure we hit the ground running," Novak said. Travis King, the longtime training adviser for Amare Stoudemire, said it's unique for players to join as a unit this early in the offseason.

Same thing the Pacers are doing, and I'm sure other teams as well.

Looks like there are more than a few teams that feel they are close to the title and want to go the extra mile.

It'd be nice Noviee if while you're at this early camp, you could perhaps develop a handle, maybe learn how to hack and play some D and while you're at it commenting, fill us in on how well Stat has improve his post moves and maybe his block out moves and lets not forget....how to take a charge.
