08:15 AM ET 09.06 | Not only did the Yankees reclaim the AL East lead Wednesday, but they also had some good news in the form of Andy Pettitte. [Pettitte] threw a simulated inning on Wednesday, facing hitters for the first time since he broke his left leg in late June. Pettitte went through his standard pregame warmup, then threw 16 pitches to Chris Dickerson, Eduardo Nunez and Casey McGehee. "I felt like I threw the ball well," Pettitte said. "I felt like I was pushing off full. I almost tried to make it like a game, so it was a good day. For me, it's a good way to ramp it up pretty quick." Pettitte was pleased with his command, but he hasn't targeted a return date. Until he is given clearance to begin running ... he isn't looking past this weekend.

Doesn't sound like he will be back in time to help this year. And next year is in doubt due to father time's effects

Probably as far as how hard he's pushing off and using the injured leg is my guess.

That's what I thought, though I originally thought the title referred to a visit with Victor Conte.
