The madness to Gillispie's method

08:23 AM ET 09.06 | Texas Tech has more than a small PR issue on its hands. There is a madness to Billy Gillispie's methods: a rampant disregard for the rules, for the athletes subject to his authority, for the adults within his sphere of influence, for the standards of civility and, it would appear, for his own job security. According to a devastating report by CBSsports.com, the former University of Kentucky basketball coach is currently courting unemployment at Texas Tech through the willful commission of NCAA infractions, through classic bullying and through reported instances of cruel and bizarre behavior that have contributed to 15 players transferring in 18 months and could lead to civil lawsuits.

Billy D is doing just fine. Never vacated anything except the Orlando Magic job. 2012 is going to be a great year for UF basketball, 2013 is setting up pretty good too.

Read it yesterday; 9 hour practices, making kids run stairs with fractures against drs orders, yanking schollys, threatening asst coaches, promising jobs to colleagues and rescinding offers once they gave notice.

It was fugly.
