08:06 AM ET 09.07 | Thursday was a good day for Gersson Rosas. [Rosas], who had been the Rockets Vice President for player personnel for the past three seasons, was elevated to the title of Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, the team announced on Thursday. Rosas was a candidate for the assistant general manager position with the Spurs. ... The Rockets have also hired Gianluca Pascucci, their former international scout who had been the general manager of Armani Milan, as director of player personnel. Dean Cooper, who had been an assistant coach with the Rockets, Timberwolves and Trail Blazers, has also returned to the team. Cooper had been vice president of player personnel with the Rockets, but moved to the Timberwolves, working briefly on Kevin McHale's staff.

LINSANITY! That was a lot of money to spend. This had better workout or the Rockets will look like total idiots.

Between the Rockets and Astros I am not sure which depresses me more. Thank god for the Texans right now. Seriously the whole front office needs and coaching staff needs to be gutted and start over. McHale is a terrible coach. Morey has failed as a GM. Enough is enough.

The Rockets are FAR BETTER than the Astros. At least the Rockets have a chance at making the playoffs. The Astros would be pressed to beat a little league team.
