08:08 AM ET 09.07 | As far as induction speeches go, Don Nelson had a lot of material. He spent the better part of the plane flight from Maui to Springfield, Mass., concocting his induction speech. Then he found out it had to be cut in half. ... So we gleaned a few of his pearls from Thursday's hall of fame news conference. ... On the most rewarding teams he's coached, he mentioned the Golden State teams with Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond. ... "It was one of the most fun teams, but I had fun everywhere I coached. I had more fun my last year of coaching with Steph Curry and Monta (Ellis) and a bunch of guys who were undrafted. Those guys competed so hard every game. They wanted me to get the most wins (record) so badly. We only won 20-some games, but it was a real special year."

Yes but his brilliant move of trading Mitch Richmond and drafting Chris Webber sure put and end to that fun.
