08:09 AM ET 09.07 | On the upside, Amar'e Stoudemire likes New York's new uniforms. "I love them," Stoudemire said. "These jerseys are extremely clean." Stoudemire looked slimmer than usual and was encouraged with his highly publicized low post workouts with Hakeem Olajuwon. But for the most part, Stoudemire was uncharacteristically grumpy and short with the media. He gave one-word answers to several questions, especially about his health and whether he has become a forgotten man on the team. Stoudemire is coming off one of his worst seasons production-wise, one which ended with him famously cutting his hand by punching a fire extinguisher. He is upset that the media continues to discuss his self-inflicted wound.

Slimer means he'll get hurt easier... Oh well, nobody realistically expected him to play the whole season anyways... Too bad the Knicks wasted their amnesty clause on Billups... this would be the year they could've used it on Amare...

First let me get this clear for ya.........I am not angry and never let anger cloud my assessment of players, particularly bum ass overrated player such as your truly "Stat", the ever statless one.

I for one am not interested in how clean Stat deems the new uniforms, it simply not the point he needs forcus on. Mr Stat if you will needs heavy concentration and application on things such as...defense, rebounding, low posts moves, not rushing to take the ball out, taking a charge, and a whole multitude of things to assist his bush league game. He also, oh by the way, abstain from combative encounters with firefighting equipment. If he stays away from these kinda endeavors he could stay focused on the afforementioned areas on needed improvement. Mr. Stat has largely been ineffective and productionless since he came to Gotham and this my friends is why I am so critica of this bogus and overrated cap killer. It is not because of anger as I am so eloquentless accused of on a continuous an epic daily basis!
