10:38 AM ET 09.08 | An already formidable linebacker recruiting class got another power boost Friday. Doug Randolph, a four-star prospect and Rivals.com's No. 113 player nationally, made an oral commitment to Notre Dame after decommitting from Stanford earlier in the week. "committed to NOTRE DAME," Randolph wrote on his Twitter account Friday.

And just how do you define the "future"? Would that be like 20 years from now?? :-)

Go Irish! We're gonna thump Purdue today!

Committments at this time of year are fragile; let's wait until February before celebrating.
In the meantime, as Stuart above says, "Go Irish"--bust up the Boilermakers!

You gotta admit that Syracuse gave the Trojans all they could handle.
Even outgained them by ten yards.

All we could handle??? That's a joke right??? They hung around, but never got the feeling they were going to win.

Ok, so Reese took the domers home??? I didnt see it, so someone give me the scoop on the game.

According to Kelly post game interview on the field, Golston hurt his hand in his last series, so Rees came in with two minutes left after Purdue had tied the game.
He drove them down to the 20 in twelve plays, set them up for a field goal with seven seconds left.
Either Purdue is better than expected or the Irish are not. The line play was ferocious.
USC did not look like it's defense was feeling very confident, unless Syracuse has an unexpectedly good offense. Barkley was on his game, but the Trojans are vulnerable to a team with a strong offense and a defense that can contain Barkley.

Thanks for the heads up on you guys. Not sure what this does to your QB situation down the road. Thoughts???

As far as us today, I knew the orange could put points on the board. Not sure if the long delay had something to do with how our D played in the 2nd half. I actually didn't think Barkley was really on today. Woods and Lee made his numbers look pretty good. His INT was a horrible throw. They seemed to take away the long game, so we threw short alot. I liked how the run game looked, as opposed to last week. Long way to go though.
