10:06 AM ET 09.09 | Will we get to see Daniel Alfredsson play hockey again? While it might be a little dramatic to ask that question when the collective bargaining agreement hasn't even expired yet and there's still plenty of time to make a deal, the possibility exists the NHL season could be cancelled. If the NHL and the NHL Players' Association don't get a new deal in place before the current CBA expires next Saturday, then we enter the world of the unknown and it becomes anybody's guess whether we're going to have hockey. Set to celebrate his 40th birthday in December, Alfredsson, who has played his entire NHL career in a Senators uniform, could probably use a little less wear and tear on the body if the season is shortened, but a cancelled campaign could be tough for him.

Wasn't gonna happen in Ottawa.

At least he didn't have to play in Toronto for his entire career.
