08:09 AM ET 09.10 | Among a list that includes Deron Williams, Chris Paul, LeBron James and Rajon Rondo, Steve Nash may still be No. 1. For the majority of his career, especially since his relocation to Phoenix after the 2003-04 season, Nash has been the epitome of the prototypical, John Stockton-like facilitator. The combination of first rate handles to get to the basket at will, nifty finishing moves when he gets there, and deadly accuracy practically anywhere on the court allows his teammates to get open looks all game long. Tack on Nash's court vision and ability to thread the needle in any given situation and you're looking at the top playmaker in the game. ... [Nash] led the league in assists per game in two of the past three seasons.

If he can only do that (are you listening Kobe) for three more seasons, things should be good.

Steve Nash is better than Stockton, at least on the offensive end

Rondo..............

I hope all that was said in the above statement holds true this season because as we all know, as you age you begin to lose a little something. The current Lakers team, as it's assembled, is primed to win an NBA Championship. The Lakers have made a huge shift, not only with players but also with moves along the coaching line.

I've always been a fan. It isn't his fault the Suns never surrounded him with pieces to finish the job. As far as the comparison between Nash and Stockton....Nash by a mile.

No need to bash the all-time NBA assit leader, Dream Team member, 10 time allstar and one of the 50 greatest of all time. Back in the day Wilt said if he was starting a team he'd start with Stockton.

That said they's both some bad boyz...

Nash; one of the top playmakers of ALL time.

I have been saying this for a while, but I suppose it takes going to a big city NBA team to get proper recognition at times...maybe it's a Canadian thing.
